The Wax Figure Series is the centerpiece of my current artistic practice. It explores communication, relationships, and human nature through oil paintings and mixed media works inspired by hand-sculpted wax-string figures. Alongside these contemporary works, selections from my archives offer a look back at earlier explorations of motherhood, transformation, and childhood.

The Art of what goes unsaid…
We rarely say exactly what we mean and we rarely hear exactly what was intended. I'm fascinated by everything that happens in between: the assumptions we make, the conversations we rehearse in our heads, and the stories we tell ourselves about one another. My paintings use humor and allegory to bring those invisible moments into view.

Hand-sculpted wax-string figures meet collage, cut-out words, and typography to create playful narratives with layers of meaning. Humor opens the door, while carefully chosen words and visual clues transform familiar moments into modern allegories about relationships, power, politics, and the quiet stories hidden in everyday language. Each print rewards a second look, revealing connections that aren't always obvious at first glance.
