This figure is carrying a basket and was painted using primarily warm colors. She doesn’t have a cloak and I didn’t intend for her to be naive: however, she does have an air of Little Red Riding Hood. I shortened the title to “Red in the Country” as a nod to the children’s book character. The hair is meant to be an explosion of contrast to keep the eye engaged.
